{"id":5134,"date":"2019-03-09T06:22:47","date_gmt":"2019-03-09T06:22:47","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.blog.matrixedu.in\/?p=5134"},"modified":"2026-03-21T15:59:41","modified_gmt":"2026-03-21T10:29:41","slug":"jee-main-2019-update-for-economically-weaker-sections-ews-category-candidates","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.matrixedu.in\/blog\/jee-main-2019-update-for-economically-weaker-sections-ews-category-candidates\/","title":{"rendered":"JEE Main 2019: Update For Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) Category Candidates (Demo)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"ins_descp\"><strong>The EWS category certificate is not to be uploaded in the JEE Main portal, according to a statement from National Testing Agency (NTA).<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Candidates of\u00a0JEE Main\u00a0January, 2019 as well as April 2019 examination, who come under <strong>Economically Weaker Sections (EWS)<\/strong> category as per the Certificate issued by the Competent Authority, may mention such category in the online application form available at<strong> www.jeemain.nic.in<\/strong> between <strong>March 11-15, 2019.<\/strong>\u00a0The EWS category certificate is not to be uploaded in the JEE Main portal, according to a statement from <strong>National Testing Agency (NTA)<\/strong>, the latest and nodal agency which is mandated to organise JEE Main exam on behalf of Ministry of Human Resource Development.<\/p>\n<p>However, the statement said the certificate will be required at the time of filling up of the application for <strong>JEE (Advanced) 2019.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&#8220;This is for the information and appropriate action by all concerned candidates,&#8221; said the statement.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;As per the OM No. 20013\/01\/2018-BC-II dated January 17, 2019 issued by the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment and the OM No. 12-4\/2019-U1 dated 17.01.2019 as well as the Letters No 35-2\/2019-T.S.I dated 21.01.2019, 01.02.2019, 04.02.2019 and 15.02.2019 of MHRD Department of Higher Education regarding implementation of reservation for Economically Weaker Sections (EWSs) for admission in Central Educational Institutions, it is necessary to identify the candidates belonging to EWS category from amongst the candidates of JEE(Main) January and JEE(Main) April 2019,&#8221; the statement added.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u201d ABOUT MATRIX \u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Matrix is a premier coaching institute for the preparation of\u00a0 IIT JEE, KVPY, Olympiads and other school level national and international competitions for Science students.<\/li>\n<li>Tradition of Outstanding results continues, JEE-Main 2019 January attempt result-3 All India Toppers in Maths with NTA score 100%tile .<\/li>\n<li>In 2018 alone, 350+ Matrix classroom students have taken admissions at IITs, NITs, BITS, DTUs and other top engineering institutes in the country. 30+ full time faculty members at Matrix are themselves graduates from top IITs, IIMs and NITs.
